A similar exchange took place between Rep. Jasmine Crockett and Nancy Mace during a House hearing.

Crockett, “Somebody's campaign coffers are really struggling right now. So he's going to keep saying trance, trance, trance, so people feel threatened and the kid listens, I want you to tell me whether or not…

Mace, “Don't call me a child. I'm not a child.”

Crockett, “I want to find out which of those letters is real, you know what I mean, I'm taking my time back.”

Mace, “You won't do that. I'm not a child. I am not a child. If you want to take it out.

Crockett was right. Mace takes the attacks on trans people hard because this is his new attention getting fundraiser.Mace showed how thin he is by trying to start a fight.

Nancy Mace's act has soured many House Democrats. Mace is constantly in the spotlight and on camera, but the interaction between Crockett and Mace shows the tone of the current Congress.

The mainstream media constantly puts the onus on Democrats to accommodate and compromise with Republicans, while the behavior of representatives like Nancy Mays is largely ignored.

Under Republican leadership, the House is in perpetual chaos. They are a convention with zero interest in governing, existing only to incite chaos and gain attention for themselves.

The same day that Speaker Johnson has admitted he needs Democratic votes to raise the debt ceiling. Nancy Mays with Jasmine Crockett trying to pull it off.

No wonder House Republicans are dysfunctional and do nothing but fail.
