Republicans to aid California after wildfires

It's a concept that was at the heart of our current constitutional government. The federal government is supposed to be there to help states in times of need. This is why states send tax money to Washington, DC. is the 1st state least dependent on federal government funds, and they send the six highest tax dollars to the federal government.

Given how much California adds to the federal coffers, Republicans should have no problem securing the wildfire relief they need.

However, Trump's party intends to punish the blue state for not supporting them in the last election.

Trump blames the California fires on social networks. “Fires are still raging in Los Angeles. The dysfunctional cities have no idea how to put them out. Thousands of magnificent homes will be lost everywhere. This is one of the most terrible disasters in the history of our country. They simply cannot put out fires. What's wrong with them?”

Vice President-elect JD Vance lied on Fox News about the reservoirs being empty.
