A new Fox News poll shows Kamala Harris leading Donald Trump 51% to 48% in the critical battleground state of Georgia.
Fox News reported.
Harris has 51% support to Trump's 48% among both registered and likely voters. Although his lead may be narrow (within the margin of error), it is sustainable. Last month, he was up 50-48 percent among registered voters.
…
More Georgians see Harris as the candidate who will help the middle class and protect democracy by 7 points each. He is also considered the candidate most likely to fight for “people like you” by 6 points. Harris has the largest lead on the abortion bill, with an 18-point lead. Trump's biggest lead is on immigration (+15 points).
…
Both candidates are rated more closely for making needed changes (Harris at 4 points), making the country safer (Trump +3), and managing the economy (Trump +4). His lead on the economy is half today compared to last month.
With the rapidly improving economy, Trump's big lead on that issue has disappeared, which is why he's so bent on immigration, the one issue where he still has a clear lead.
Never read too much into one poll, but Harris' wins in Georgia and North Carolina are bright lights for Trump. Pennsylvania didn't matter to the outcome, and Harris could have even lost Arizona and still won the election.
I'm not as bullish on Harris' ability to flip North Carolina as others have been, but if the VP keeps Georgia blue, that puts him on a path to the presidency even if he loses Pennsylvania, Arizona and North Carolina.
The reason why it's better to be Kamala Harris than Donald Trump now is that he has more ways to win than Trump.
Trump's main path to victory is to hope that 2024 is a repeat of 2016 and he flips the Blue Wall. At this point there is zero current indication that we are on our way.
Donald Trump has a problem in Georgia, and it could cost him the election
