Trump campaign admits they were 'totally duped'

Donald Trump has decided to shut down the Republican Party's turnout, which means that in large areas of the country, Trump has no action on the ground.

Pak reported on the state of the ground game for Trump.

Then there's the ground game. “We are completely shocked at the field,” a campaign source said. “Whoever takes over the south-western states has to start from scratch and is almost in trouble in October.”

As I reported, Trump campaign took a big hit when they dismantled the RNC's ground operation and decided to outsource to super PACs, including Elon Musk's America PAC. Now, in the final sprint to Election Day, fears are growing that Mar-a-Lago is in business with Phil Cox and Genera Peck, who were closely involved in choreographing DeSantis' failed PAC campaign and are now backing Musk. Action: As I mentioned two weeks ago, there have been concerns within Trumpworld ever since Cox and Peck fired the original vendors late in the game in July and replaced them with their own. Now The New York Times reports that Cox and Peck have launched another campaign, this time in Arizona and Nevada, which leaves new salespeople with less than two months to knock on doors, collect data and do digital advertising. (A source familiar with the PAC's efforts countered that the change would help them scale.)

Trump made the decision to save more money he could put in his coffers to get rid of the Republican get-out-the-vote campaign and funnel it to outside conservative groups.

This program has been a disaster. Groups don't have the resources to mount a full-scale ground operation for Trump because funds can be spent due to legal restrictions, so Kamala Harris With thousands of field offices and thousands of employees in swing states alone, Donald Trump is holding rallies and hoping that hearing from him is enough to get his voters to the polls.

One of the reasons Trump's campaign was able to pull off a close election victory in 2016 was because Jared Kushner oversaw a complicated voter outreach operation. During this operation, they contacted people who participated in Trump's rallies and made sure that they became Trump voters.

Now that Donald Trump is running the campaign, he decided he didn't need those activities, so he dropped them.

The result is that Democrats are organizing Republicans on the groundwhich means polls may end up overestimating Trump's support because Republicans have no way of making sure their voters will show up.

This is an organizational disaster caused by Donald Trump that could cost the Republican Party the election.
