Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee have revealed three new trips that Justice Clarence Thomas received from Harlan Crowe that he never disclosed.
Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee tweeted:
Senator Durbin, the Senate Judiciary Committee's investigation reveals three additional private trips made by Harlan Crowe to Justice Clarence Thomas that Thomas failed to disclose.

We just discovered new details and personal trips that were given to Justice Thomas by Harlan Crowe.
Judge Thomas never disclosed them, raising further questions about the accuracy of his findings. pic.twitter.com/C0CRtIJ2HQ

Senator Durban said in a statement. “Let's be clear. Chief Justice Roberts has the authority to enforce a code of conduct. He refused. Until he acts, I will continue to push for legislation.”
The Senate can't do much about Clarence Thomas
The problem is that the Senate can't do anything without new legislation. Impeachment proceedings against Thomas are set to begin in the House of Representatives. There is little to zero chance that House Republicans will ever investigate Clarence Thomas. A Republican House majority also won't pass any legislation that would lead to ethics reform or Supreme Court oversight.
Democrats already have a bill that would mandate an ethics code and independent oversight of the Supreme Court, but the earliest it could become law is January 2025, and only if Democrats control the entire federal government.
In the meantime, all Senator Dubin can do is enforce legislation and continue the investigation.
But if Democrats take back the House and retain the Senate and House, Clarence Thomas' days as a corrupt Supreme Court justice may be numbered.
