Donald Trump was ripped to shreds in Las Vegas as he tried to fumble his way out of confirmed reports that he had called the troops pussies and losers.

Trump said:
He said: I stood on the soldiers' graves. And I said these people suck and the losers think they are dead soldiers from the First World War. I said this was a made-up deal by a magazine that is failing due to financial disaster by a guy who is a horrible radical left-wing lunatic named Goldberg. They made up a story that I said this and they put it out there and it's been around for three years and it's like Russia, Russia, Russia, Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, 51 intelligence agents making a fake story. Remember that the laptop is from Russia. They said that they should be held accountable for what they did. OK? They should be professors, let's see what happens. But can you imagine? Even now they took an advertisement, they know it's fake, they know it's fake. And now they took advertising through it. These are sick people, and I hope the military, I hope the military riots at the polling booth and just says we're not going to take it.
They can say anything. They are the party of disinformation, disinformation, election rigging, open borders, high interest rates and high taxes. That's it. And you can't be elected like that. So they make up stories, misinformation, that kind of story. Think about it from a practical perspective. I am standing in the cemetery with generals and soldiers and I look at them, I say these people are suckers and losers. Now think about it, unless you're a psycho or a crazy person or a very stupid person who would say that anyway. But who will tell that to the military? Because as the president of the United States, I would say if I were to make that statement, if I had generals here, if I did, I would imagine that most of them would get into a major fist fight with the president. OK? And you know what I would say it was fine if in one case they made up a story just out of thin air.

Trump's former chief of staff confirmed the “Suckers and Losers” story
Trump is trying to rewrite history and facts, claiming that Democrats made up history. Meanwhile, The Atlantic first reported the story. This was later confirmed by former Trump White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, who said in a statement to CNN:
What can I add that hasn't already been said? A man who thinks that those who defend their country in uniform, either shot or seriously wounded in combat, or tortured for years as prisoners of war, all “suck” because “there's nothing for them.” A man who didn't want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because “it doesn't look good to me.” A man who openly showed contempt for the Gold Star family. During the 2016 campaign, Gold Star families are on TV and screaming that our dearest heroes who gave their lives to defend America are “losers” and will not visit their graves in France.
The reason for this Trump collapse was President Biden's successful D-Day anniversary visit to France, where the current president paid tribute to those Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice for democracy. Donald Trump is trying to rewrite history and go back on things he said.
Trump knows he can't compete with Biden and the presidential race, so he's trying to do damage control and blame the Democrats for his behavior.
Most tellingly, Trump's crowd seemed to come out and leave when he melted down.
Trump's damage control isn't even working for his most devoted audience, as he continues to reveal an indifference to the future and an obsession with the past.
