Jurors have been sworn in in the Trump money trial, as arguments could begin Monday.
NBC journalist Lisa Rubin reported.
NEW. As I predicted earlier today, we now have a jury of 12 and one alternate. We are moving to an alternative process. Merchan directed that everyone else from today's pool of 96 be included in this next round of jury questions, and voila horror.

MSNBC deadline. The White House discussed the future schedule. And I will say very carefully that the jury is sworn. Some may come tomorrow and say they've changed their minds and that they're worried about it, and we can go back at ten. That's what's happening, it's still very much in flux. But right now we have the jury and then we will see how we are at the end of the day. And if that process continues, it looks like we could have open arguments on Monday morning and be reminded that court sits on Monday until two o'clock on Tuesday, and then it's dark on Wednesday. So it will be kind of if it continues on Monday morning.”

Opening arguments could begin on Monday, and as that ball gets rolling, Trump is moving closer to impeachment. Unless more jurors excuse themselves, the trial is well on its way. Trump has publicly expressed his belief that some rulings will be made in his favor that would prevent the Manhattan trial.
Trump was wrong. The former president is set to stand trial, and he could soon become the first former president in US history to be convicted.
