Desperate Trump bid to test Hush Money rejected for third time
Written by informini

For the third time in three days, an appeals court rejected Trump's request to postpone his criminal trial related to the money.

MSNBC host Lisa Rubin posted.

Trump this time sought an emergency stay so he could appeal the decision to waive presidential immunity and try to force Judge Merchan to recuse himself. The last request to stay ended like all the others. It was rejected by the appeals court.

Trump appears to be both frantic and desperate to avoid being sued for election meddling/money laundering.

Although Republicans argue that the criminal trials are helping Trump, the reality is that it would be a potentially fatal blow to his 2024 presidential campaign if he is convicted of a crime in New York. Unlike some of the other criminal cases against Trump, the money-for-money case has a simple plot that's easy to follow.

Donald Trump cheated on his wife with Stormy Daniels and then hatched an illegal scheme to pay her off and keep her quiet during the 2016 election.

Trump does not want to stand trial. Even Republicans believe he will be convicted, and more importantly, Trump faces options to delay the criminal trial until after a jury is selected on Monday.
