The Biden administration has been trying for months to convince Netanyahu to end his invasion of Gaza and allow humanitarian aid. The administration's policy shift toward strengthening and providing direct humanitarian aid to the Palestinians is the next step in a very difficult time for Netanyahu.
Prime Minister Netanyahu appears to be using the Gaza invasion to hold onto power in Israel as he faces corruption charges. If Netanyahu is ever out of power, his next stop will be back in criminal court as a defendant.
Patience has run out with Netanyahu, and any visit to meet with Biden is expected to end with the president telling Netanyahu to stop war crimes in Gaza or US aid to be cut off.
