Danger for Trump, because voters really liked the relatively normal debate

After voters commented that the debate was more of a presidential debate than a presidential debate, it's clear that Sen. J.

“(F) From the Trump-Biden caucus after last night's debate; J.D. Vance was literate and well-spoken, but people aren't sure if they trust him (or Trump). They thought Walz was good, but clearly out of his comfort zone. People REALLY liked how the debate seemed relatively normal. “More of a presidential debate than a presidential debate,” shared Sarah Longwell, a longtime Republican strategist who is the publisher of Bulwark and leads the focus groups.

It should be noted that the voters liked the “relatively” normality of the debate. A man who attacks barren cats and lies about his constituents to the point where schools in that neighborhood had to go on lockdown due to bomb threats is not normal, and we shouldn't pretend otherwise.

Voters usually say that about the vice presidential debates, in particular contrast to the presidential debates, which have been marred by Trump's Gish's blistering lies, gassing and general rhetorical and sometimes physical thuggery.

The Bulwark wrote (note that this is a conservative approach), “I doubt Vance has done anything significant to help Trump's electoral prospects. But he absolutely helped his own prospects in 2028, or 2032, or whenever Trump leaves the scene. Or he pushes.”

Just like that.

And more. “In fact, Vance was so good that I wonder if this debate could be a disaster. Because tomorrow a whole bunch of people at Conservatism Inc. will be talking about how Vance is the post-Trump savior they've been waiting for.

I wonder what Donald Trump will think about that.”

Yes, this. JD Vance is the fascist who can't do it in person, but does really well when subtlety trumps real connection. At this point, Last believes that J. Tim Waltz gave Americans the dose of true normalcy and down-to-earth reality they craved after eight years of Trump.

If we're giving Vance this debate, it's because he's lied about a lot of things and covered up some really awful things he says on conservative podcasts. But still, he also refused to say that Trump lost 2020, and that reveals a man who lacks guts.

In CNN's snap poll, voters said there was no clear winner, and that's true. There was no clear winner, but one candidate disqualified himself.

But in the MAGA world and the conservative world, Vance is the winner they want. Is he a man with his two years of experience, easily used by the elites, but better, younger than Trump? Maybe.

Of course, Vance can't get to the White House on his own. Vance is more obscene than Sarah Palin

When Trump sees that Vance's response is much better than his own debate response, will he be able to stop himself from punishing Vance? Trump shows little discipline over his emotions, so it's unlikely. But he needs Vance to do well to get to the White House, so maybe he'll figure out how to neutralize Vance after the election if they win.

Vance will do what Pence wouldn't, which is subvert the will of the people and pretend Trump won an election he lost without a doubt. Vance is the blueprint for 2025 without Trump's chaos and disruption, something Vance managed to hide from the public last night.

But it begs the question, if the elite behind Project 2025 and the Republican Party want their post-liberal, anti-democratic agenda to be implemented, Vance is their guy. It is not a stretch to think that they are using Trump for his populism and charisma to install the JD Vance Trojan horse.
