Republican plans to defund IVF before presidential debate

MAGA House Republican Matt Rosendale (R-MT) introduced an amendment to the defense spending bill to fund IVF.

Here is Rosendale's full press release:
Change #112. reimburses assisted reproductive technology, which includes any infertility treatment or technology, including IVF, to ensure human life is protected.

“While I feel for couples who are unable to have children, the practice of IVF is morally wrong and I refuse to support any legislation that would allow its use,” MP Rosendale said. “My amendment would defund this practice, which is responsible for destroying the lives of hundreds of thousands of children each year. If you're against abortion, you should be against the practice of IVF, which destroys twice as many lives as Planned Parenthood annually.

Republicans do not hide it. The GOP isn't playing dumb. There are plans to ban IVF if they control the entire federal government. The in vitro fertilization ban for the military is a test case. If Republicans wanted IVF to remain legal, they wouldn't be trying to ban it for the military.

At a time when the military is struggling to recruit, there aren't many worse ideas than taking IVF treatment as a benefit for service members.

Actions speak louder than words, and what House Republicans are doing shows their true position on IVF, which is a ban.
