Trump came up with a conspiracy theory that it was fascists in control of the Oval Office who were behind his persecution.

Trump said: “Such a disgrace. It is so sad to see what has happened to our country. Our country is going to hell under Biden, but look at the man, why don't you look at someone who has argued his case almost the whole time? Look, he comes from the incredible. He came from Biden, and I don't know if it's Biden because I don't think Biden has a clue what the hell is going on. But that's from the fascist circle of the Oval Office. They circle around the Decision Desk. The beautiful decisive desk that stinks.'

The problem with Trump's theory that he is being pursued by fascists inside the White House is that the investigation began before Biden was a presidential candidate. This case has been building since Trump was president, but because the previous Manhattan DA did not want to press charges against the sitting president, the case was dropped.
The Manhattan prosecution is not some kind of conspiracy led by Biden, but Trump's wild conspiracy theories suggest that he is going to be convicted, and he is going to try to politicize his conviction and blame it on President Biden.
Trump appears as a defendant who assumes that he will be convicted.
