Trump seems to know that the trial is not winning. On some level, he also understands that Michael Cohen's testimony is too bad for him. Outside the courthouse, Trump panicked, throwing everything at the wall for minutes and hoping something would stick.
Donald Trump knows that there is a significant percentage of voters who say they will not vote for him if the former president is convicted of a crime. Trump is trying to discredit the process in hopes of discrediting the conviction.
Michael Cohen's testimony was bad for Trump, but what was worse was that the show was played outside the courtroom.
