It wasn't just America. Trump also lied to Scotland

In a move that should sound familiar, Donald Trump promised Scotland a billion dollar investment in a golf course and then delivered nothing.

Neil Hobday was project director of Mr Trump's controversial course in Aberdeenshire, which opened in 2012.

Mr Trump said he would spend £1bn on the scheme, but that has not happened.

“I don't think even if he could raise the money to build the whole thing, he wanted the golf course and that was it,” he said.

“He was willing to fight the environmental battle and create the impression that this is a $1 billion project and Scotland needs it. But I don't think he ever really had the money or the intention to finish it.''

He added: “I feel very cheated and ashamed that I fell for this and Scotland fell for it. We all fell for it. He was never going to do that.'

Trump is a fraud, and the fraud begins at the very beginning of these projects. Trump exaggerates what he's going to put into the project, leading to an over-inflated cost of the project, which Trump uses to borrow more money, but then he cries poverty when it comes time to pay his taxes.

Trump has been found to have fraudulently inflated the value of his Scottish golf course by two hundred million pounds by including property that did not exist in the valuation.

Some in Scotland have been trying to investigate Trump for money laundering and fraud involving a Scottish golf course for years.

Trump's fraud trial took place in New York, but the former president's alleged crimes are international.
